“We can understand that natural Light is not only the one which the sun gives out, but also any other that is produced by any biochemical or biological process”. Our proposal deals with developing the creation of plants with natural light with the help of genetic treatment, for urban use, with the consequent saving of cost on conventional night electrical lighting, so that reducing the planet pollution.

Bioluminescence: FMNH2 + RCHO + O2 --> FMN + RCOOH + H2O + LIGHT (490nm)

Creating cold light with a low thermal radiation is produced when oxygen “rusts” the luciferin(substrate of protein) which in presence of luciferase (catalytic enzyme) accelerates the process, whose reaction emits light.
